Welcome to the Lemon Tree Restaruant, Tenterden
We use as much local produce as possible.
Farm Butchers of Tenterden, make the best ‘Bangers’ for miles around, supply great hams for us to cook and sugar roast and tender English lamb and 28 day matured beef for our steaks.
Our fruiterer from Biddenden, sources produce from the ‘Garden of England’ and we stock local cider from Biddenden Vineyards who also supply us with a beautiful fruity Ortega white wine.
The Lemon Tree Restaurant in Tenterden is situated in the wide High Street in the centre of this pretty market town’s main shopping area.
Restaurant Review: Opso | The Soulmates Blog
food ambience menu
The name ‘Opso’ translates to a delectable morsel of food and that is precisely what the restaurant seeks to do through food and ambience.
The Opso menu is designed around sharing plates, one of the ups of the restaurant which sets it apart from its Greek counterparts.
I’ve rarely experienced Greek food to brag about in London but the Opso menu is not to be underestimated.
To begin our Greek tapas feast, our first dishes of Spanakopita (homemade spinach pie with feta cheese) and Yellow Fava Beans spread with sourdough arrived – the latter being devoured almost instantly, a dip that could easily rival the reputation of hummus.
There were a couple of other highlights, the Mac ‘n’ Cheese and the Snail ‘n’ Chips, which we didn’t manage to order but gave us food for thought and a good enough reason to return Opso offers atmosphere, quality, culture and ambience, what other criteria could you ever be looking for in a perfect date venue?
The Lemon Tree Restaurant, Tenterden, 29-33 HIGH ST
Once they had established that there were two adults and two very young children in pushchairs they didn't offer us the vacant table upstairs but made us carry the two heavy pushchairs downstairs.
For a restaurant that has a children's menu and high chairs, you are incredibly unwelcoming for families.
I will certainly not be returning to your restaurant and I will certainly be telling others about your very poor service/treatment.

"We really enjoyed the Jamboree Club when we visited to listen (and dance to) the wonderful Dom Pipkin and the Ikos.
Wonderful night - great people there too.
But so sad to hear that the Club may not..." Which venue is this?

food
We know what you might be thinking – ‘Just another lemon tree’ – but no, Lemon Tree in southeast London’s Sydenham is an Indian restaurant with a difference.
Dine in comfort in Lemon Tree’s Sydenham Road restaurant with ambient lighting and comfortable chair and table arrangements, dive head first into the incredibly affordable buffet lunch on Sundays, the Wednesday banquet nights, and the Friday and Saturday evening family deal, where kids under ten eat for free!
House specialties include the samlo, king prawn, or mixed shashlik, tandoori-baked garlic and chilli chicken, the lamb chop achari, and the special boneless chicken tikka masala – prepared to Lemon Tree’s own secret recipe.
Perhaps the most appropriate signature dish on offer, however, is the zamiri or orange chicken – cooked with whole orange for a tangy flavour.
